Descriptions

Single-cell low-cost lithium-ion battery Charging Circuit. The LTC4054 stands out as a comprehensive (5-pin SOT-23-5) solution for constant-current and constant-voltage, linear charging tailored for single-cell lithium-ion batteries. Its compact Thin SOT packaging and minimal requirement for external components. It is particularly suitable for mobile devices. Additionally, this charger is engineered to comply with USB power standards, making it a perfect match for applications powered via USB. Maximum current up to 80. Charge current can be set up to a maximum of 800mA.
Eliminates the need for MOSFETs, sense resistors, or blocking diodes.
Offers a complete linear charging solution in a ThinSOT™ package specifically for single-cell lithium-ion batteries. Utilizes a combination of constant-current and constant-voltage charging with thermal regulation to enhance charging speed without overheating.

Features

  • Charge current can be set up to a maximum of 800mA.
  • Eliminates the need for MOSFETs, sense resistors, or blocking diodes.
  • Offers a complete linear charging solution in a ThinSOT™ package specifically for single-cell lithium-ion batteries. Utilizes a combination of constant-current and constant-voltage charging with thermal regulation to enhance charging speed without overheating.
  • Capable of charging single-cell Li-Ion batteries straight from a USB port.
  • Features a fixed charge voltage of 4.2V with a precision within ±1%.
  • Includes a charge current monitoring output for battery gas gauging.
  • Supports automatic battery recharge. Provides a pin to indicate charge status.
  • Implements a charge termination at C/10. Maintains a low supply current of 25µA when in shutdown mode. Sets a trickle charge threshold at 2.9V (specific to the LTC4054 model).
  • Offers a version without trickle charging capability (the LTC4054X model).
  • Incorporates soft-start functionality to minimize initial current surge.
  • Available in a compact 5-lead SOT-23 package.
